One of the things I love most about living in New England is the sense that history is all around you. It’s easy to imagine carriages rolling down the streets of Portsmouth or ladies in bustled dresses strolling through the town’s gardens. Luckily for me, many of the historic buildings and homes in the area are also wedding venues. Historic New England manages many of my favorites including Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm in Newbury, MA, John Langdon House here in Portsmouth and the Lyman Estate in Waltham, so I was thrilled when they gave us an opportunity to shoot at Hamilton House! The property is a gem tucked away on the river in South Berwick and a dream of a spot for your wedding (seriously, someone please call me if you book this venue). With this editorial we wanted to embrace the location and the season but give it a rustic-modern twist. The all-star team of vendors below made it all happen!
