I define Full Day Coverage as beginning one hour prior to you getting dressed and ending one hour after the dance floor opens. I find this structure allows for the perfect amount of time to ease into the day and capture details and candids, plenty of great reception moments and full flexibility in between. We’ll work together to create a timeline that best fits your needs and keeps the day feeling relaxed! For most weddings this works out to be between 7 and 10 hours of time together.
I love to work this way so that I have more time and space to capture the in-between moments that make up so much of my work. To achieve real “candid” photos we need time to allow things to happen! This also gives us the flexibility to spend as much or as little time on photos as you’d like, I do not want you to make any decisions about how you will spend your wedding day based on limitations to the time your photographer will be present.

I believe that the best way to capture a wedding requires different approaches for different parts of the day, or even different approaches for different couples and families. My intention is always to let real moments play out as naturally as possible—I know I absolutely do my best work when I am able to capture spontaneity. That being said, I do believe that some parts of the day require a bit of a guiding hand and I am happy to be that for you! I am excellent at keeping family photos fun and fast, helping you feel more comfortable when it’s just you and me together, and managing our time overall. When it comes to your couple portraits I have you interact with each other and keep moving so that things feel natural, and if we are so inspired we can throw in a few killer editorial portraits too.
I’d love to talk to you more about how you hope to work with your photographer! If you genuinely want a fully documentary approach I am happy to photograph you that way, or we can find the right balance for you together. My goal is to deliver photos that feel like the most beautiful, romantic, fun version of your day full of real, genuine moments.

My work is primarily digital, but I love to add a bit of 35mm film as a fun supplement to your gallery. I currently bring a Contax G1 and Nikon F100 to weddings but there may be some other surprises in the mix as well. I do not view film as an essential part of my work, but if you are particularly excited by it I do offer the option to bring a second photographer that focuses almost entirely on film! I love this for a “best of both worlds” approach.

The number of photos in your gallery will vary depending on the length of your day, number of people present, weather, locations, etc. but for most weddings you can expect to receive about 100 photos per hour of coverage. All of your images are delivered through a beautiful gallery system that will remain online indefinitely, with unlimited downloads available.

Editing is an incredibly important part of the process! I hand-edit each photo to make sure that your wedding reflects my style but also has its own unique look. I deliver a large sneak peek gallery within 1-2 weeks of the wedding, and the full gallery within 8-12 weeks.

Most travel fees are included with my pricing, but for any weddings that require an overnight stay or flight I would ask for an additional flat rate (custom based on averages in your area) to cover those costs. For most weddings within 2.5 hours of Kittery, Maine an overnight is not required unless we are finishing our time together very late.

Yes! Printing rights allow you to bring your photos to any photo lab of your choice, but you also have the option to order prints, frames, calendars, albums, cards, and a number of other beautiful products through your gallery shop.

Absolutely! Choosing a video team that has a similar approach to your photographer is key. I have an in-house video team that takes on a limited number of dates per year, and I am also happy to recommend other videographers that I know I work extremely well with.

I know that this is an important piece of the puzzle in terms of your planning, and although many events require custom pricing I believe that transparency is also important!
